Google Docs

Google Docs makes creating and collaborating on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations simple. Create and edit your own docs, and give co-workers access to your online files. Everyone shares the same online copy of each doc, so you can avoid the inconvenience of keeping track of attachments when people make changes. You always control who has access, whether it's just yourself, your team, or your whole organization. You can even publish docs to the world. The Google Docs web application is accessible from anywhere, and you can even sign in and view docs from your mobile phone.

Quick facts

New! Get started with templates
Use the new template gallery to create professional looking collateral for your organization: resumes, letterheads, business cards, time sheets, and more.

Online document creation
Create new documents from scratch, or upload saved documents from your computer. Edit your documents from any internet-connected computer.

Sharing without managing attachments
Co-workers share the same online copy of each doc, so no one needs to sort out multiple versions of the same attachment.

Revision history
Individual edits are kept so you can see who added and deleted what, when.

Search tools
Just like Gmail, with Google Docs, you can harness the power of Google search to look for a document you haven't edited in months.

Security and privacy
You choose who sees your document, when. Other users can only access your document or presentation if you add them to the list of collaborators or viewers, or if you decide to publish the document. And administrators have the ability to set restrictions on internal and external document sharing.

Mobile access
View your documents from your mobile phone.

Integration
Users can access their Google documents right from your organization's Start Page. And the Google Spreadsheets data API allows other applications to display and update spreadsheets content.
